Alma 13:

5 Call upon the Lord, that this kingdom may go forth upon the earth, that

brightness of his glory, to meet the kingdom of God which is set up on the

33 Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation

40 And even the bishop, who is a judge, and his counselors, if they are not
faithful in their stewardships shall be condemned, and others shall be planted
in their stead.
41 For, behold, I say unto you that Zion shall flourish, and the glory of
the Lord shall be upon her;
42 And she shall be an ensign unto the people, and there shall come unto
her out of every nation under heaven.
43 And the day shall come when the nations of the earth shall tremble
because of her, and shall fear because of her terrible ones. The Lord hath
spoken it. Amen.
1 Nephi 22:
19 For behold, the righteous shall not perish; for the time surely must
come that all they who fight against Zion shall be cut off.
Matthew 5: (3 Nephi 12:)
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do
good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and
persecute you;

Revelation 14:

that the fulness of his wrath must come, and the righteous be preserved, even

Isaiah 52:
1 Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments,
O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee
the uncircumcised and the unclean.
2 Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose
thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.
3 For thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall
be redeemed without money.
Revelation 14:
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man
worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in
his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured
out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented
with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the
presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they
have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever
receiveth the mark of his name.
Moroni 7:
46 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, if ye have not charity, ye are nothing,
for charity never faileth. Wherefore, cleave unto charity, which is the
greatest of all, for all things must fail--
47 But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and
whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him.
48 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father with all the energy
of heart, that ye may be filled with this love, which he hath bestowed upon
all who are true followers of his Son, Jesus Christ; that ye may become the
sons of God; that when he shall appear we shall be like him, for we shall see
him as he is; that we may have this hope; that we may be purified even as he
is pure. Amen.
2 Nephi 6:
13 Wherefore, they that fight against Zion and the covenant people of the
Lord shall lick up the dust of their feet; and the people of the Lord shall
not be ashamed. For the people of the Lord are they who wait for him; for they
still wait for the coming of the Messiah.
Revelation 13:
10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth
with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the
faith of the saints.
Alma 48
14 Now the Nephites were taught to defend themselves against their enemies,
even to the shedding of blood if it were necessary; yea, and they were also
taught never to give an offense, yea, and never to raise the sword except it
were against an enemy, except it were to preserve their lives.
15 And this was their faith, that by so doing God would prosper them in the
land, or in other words, if they were faithful in keeping the commandments of
God that he would prosper them in the land; yea, warn them to flee, or to
prepare for war, according to their danger;
16 And also, that God would make it known unto them whither they should go
to defend themselves against their enemies, and by so doing, the Lord would
deliver them; and this was the faith of Moroni, and his heart did glory in it;
not in the shedding of blood but in doing good, in preserving his people, yea,
in keeping the commandments of God, yea, and resisting iniquity.
17 Yea, verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and
ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have
been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of
the children of men.
Alma 8:
31 And they had power given unto them, insomuch that they could not be
confined in dungeons; neither was it possible that any man could slay them;
nevertheless they did not exercise their power until they were bound in bands
and cast into prison. Now, this was done that the Lord might show forth his
power in them.
Moses 7:
13 And so great was the faith of Enoch that he led the people of God, and
their enemies came to battle against them; and he spake the word of the Lord,
and the earth trembled, and the mountains fled, even according to his command;
and the rivers of water were turned out of their course; and the roar of the
lions was heard out of the wilderness; and all nations feared greatly, so
powerful was the word of Enoch, and so great was the power of the language
which God had given him.
DC 45:
66 And it shall be called the New Jerusalem, a land peace, a city of
refuge, a place of safety for the saints of the Most High God;
67 And the glory of the Lord shall be there, and the terror of the Lord
also shall be there, insomuch that the wicked will not come unto it, and it
shall be called Zion.
68 And it shall come to pass among the wicked, that every man that will not
take his sword against his neighbor must needs flee unto Zion for safety.
69 And there shall be gathered unto it out of every nation under heaven;
and it shall be the only people that shall not be at war one with another.
70 And it shall be said among the wicked; Let us not go up to battle
against Zion, for the inhabitants of Zion are terrible; wherefore we cannot
stand.
71 And it shall come to pass that the righteous shall be gathered out from
among all nations, and shall come to Zion, singing with songs of everlasting
joy.
Ether 8:
26 Wherefore, I, Moroni, am commanded to write these things that evil may
be done away, and that the time may come that Satan may have no power upon the
hearts of the children of men, but that they may be persuaded to do good
continually, that they may come unto the fountain of all righteousness and be
saved.
Revelation 22:
17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say,
Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the
water of life freely.
Zephaniah 3:19
19 Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save
her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them
praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame.
Jeremiah 31:34
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his
brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of
them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their
iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Daniel 7:27
27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the
whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High,
whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and
obey him.
