  <p>While these verses describing destruction don't necessarily speak solace to
  the soul, there is hope contained in the chapter as well.&nbsp; Just before
  the above verses, the Lord says, &quot;I am with you.&quot;&nbsp; And two
  verses after the above, he says, &quot;The glory of this latter house shall be
  greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I
  give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.&quot; (2:9.)</p>
  <p>The last verse of the chapter reads, &quot;I have chosen thee, saith the
  Lord of Hosts.&quot; (2:23.)</p>
  <p>Applying it to the situation at hand, considering that this is chapter 911,
  is he speaking of the punished, or of the punisher?&nbsp; I believe it will be
  both when all is said and done.</p>
